25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and Georgia

On November 1, 2019 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the postage stamp “25thanniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and Georgia”.

The agreement on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and Georgia was signed and entered into force on January 6, 1994.

Belarus and Georgia maintain intensive bilateral relations at all levels. There is regular political interaction within the framework of annual consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of the Republic of Belarus and Georgia. The parties constructively cooperate in different international organizations.

The legal framework for cooperation with Georgia is based on more than 60 documents, including 2 interstate, 15 intergovernmental and 18 interdepartmental agreements.

The project was prepared in cooperation with the Embassy of Georgia in the Republic of Belarus.

A special cancellation on FDC will be carried out at the post office No.1 of Minsk (shop “Philately”, 16 Moskovskaya street) on the stamp issuing day.
