The White Stork is a national bird of Belarus, a symbol of national purity, the sun, peace and good.

Thanks to the traditional patronage of the local population, white storks are not afraid of humans. They can be seen on rooftops, pipes, towers, telegraph poles, haystacks and on platforms specifically built for them. The birds arrive from warm lands at the end of March or at the beginning of April; therefore they are associated with spring and the beginning of a new life.
Colour of the postmark — black.

designed by M.Vitkovskaya.
