On May 3, 2012 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue 2 stamps depicting ferns — “Common polypody” and “Floating fern” from the series “Flora. Endangered plants of Belarus”.
Designer: Alexander Mityanin. Printing: offset. Colour: multicoloured. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 14: 141/4. Size of the stamps: 40x28 mm. Sheet composition: 16 (4x4) stamps. Size of the sheet: 180x145 mm. The technique of relief stamping is used on the stamps. Print quantity: 80.000 stamps each.

Common polypody is a perennial grassy fern with a long creeping rhizome that is sometimes over ground.
Letter “H” is equal to the surface tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad.

Floating fern is an annual free-floating water fern devoid of roots.
Letter “P” is equal to the air-mail tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad.
 
 
A sheetlet is also issued.
Sheetlet composition: 8 (4 sets) stamps. Perforation: frame 14: 141/4. Size of the sheetlet: 116x142 mm. Print quantity: 12.000 sheetlets.
A special cancellation on FDC will be carried out at the Main Post Office of Minsk on the stamps issuing day.
