Lute is an ancient stringed pizzicato musical instrument. It has a convex, oval body, a short neck with a finger-board, a head bent back with horizontally arranged pegs for stringing, a flat wooden deck with a resonating hole decorated with rosettes. Duda is a Belarusian folk musical reed instrument of the aerophone class (bagpipe) with an air reservoir, a single reed and a bourdon. By the middle of the 20th century it was widely used to accompany dances and rituals. The project was prepared with the assistance of the National Library of Belarus, the State Museum of the History of Theatrical and Musical Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the master Yuri Dubnovitsky. |
