On 22 January the Belarusian Diplomatic Service turns 100 years old. On this day in the distant 1919 the newspaper “Zvyazda” first published the announcement about the beginning of the activities of the Commissariat for Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Soviet Republic of Belorussia with the choice of Minsk for its location. And this date is considered to be the beginning of history of the foreign policy department of our country.

Much has changed in its structure over 100 years, but the tasks remain the same — to protect national interests, ensure security and adequately represent Belarus in the international arena.

Shown on the souvenir sheet is the emblem of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, in cooperation with which the project was prepared. The special postmark is based on the seal of the Plenipotentiary Representation of the BSSR in the RSFSR.
