On July 7, 2018 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue 4 stampsand a souvenir sheet of the series “Admirals of the Navy born in Belarus”. Artist: Victor Chaichuk. Design: Yauheniya Biadonik. Print process: offset. Colour: multicoloured. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforations: comb 12. Stamps: 40х28 mm. Sheet composition: 6 (2х3) stamps. Sheets size: 100x103 mm. Face value of each stamp: M. Print quantity: 60.000 stamps each. Printer: Republican Unitary Enterprise “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T. Nepogodin”. Face value M is equal to the air-mail tariff of a postcard abroad. |

Belarus has no maritime borders; nevertheless the life of many Belarusians is inextricably linked with the navy. After the Second World War and until 1992 almost a million Belarusians devoted their lives to the sea. Today, more than 200 thousand people, who served in the Navy in different years, live in Belarus.. The stamps project is dedicated to the four natives of Belarus: vice-admirals G. N. Holostiakov, Ye.A. Tomko, V. P. Drozd and rear admiral V. N. Dronov. The project was prepared in cooperation with the Belarusian Union of Military Seamen. |
