On February 26, 2018 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the souvenir sheet “100th birth anniversary of Piotr Masherov”. Artist: Tatyana Dolskaya. Design: Yauheniya Biadonik. Print process: offset. Colour: multicoloured with additional paint like silver. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforations: frame 131/2: 13. Stamp size: 37x52 mm. Souvenir sheet size: 86x79 mm. The technology of thermal stamping by metalized foil of golden colour is used on the souvenir sheet. Print quantity: 15.000 souvenir sheets. Printer: Unitary Enterprise “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T. Nepogodin”. |

Piotr Mironovich Masherov (born 26.02.1918 in the village of Shirki, Senno district, Vitebsk region — died 04.10.1980) was a party and state leader of Belarus, one of the organizers and leaders of the anti-fascist underground and partisan movement in Belarus during the Great Patriotic War. He was the Hero of the Soviet Union (1944) and the Hero of Socialist Labor (1978). Since March 1965 Piotr Masherov was First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus. Under his leadership Belarus made a significant progress in the development of the national economy, science and culture. |
