On November 15, 2017 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue 2 stamps of the series “25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay”. Artist: Tatyana Dolskaya. Design: Yauheniya Biadonik. Printing: offset. Colour: full colour. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 12. Size of the stamps: 40x28 mm. Face value of each stamp: H. Sheet composition: 4 (2x2) stamps in joint sheet of 2 sets. Size of the sheet: 110x78 mm. While printing the stamps they used the technology of thermal stamping by metalized foil of dead golden colour. Print quantity: 70.000 stamps each. The stamps were printed at the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T. Nepogodin”. Face value H is equal to the surface tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad. |

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Oriental Republic of Uruguay were established on July 7, 1992. The contractual and legal framework of bilateral relations is in the process of formation. A protocol on cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries was signed, as well as an agreement on visa-free travel with diplomatic and official passports. The work is going on the conclusion of intergovernmental agreements on economic cooperation and trade, on promoting the implementation and mutual protection of investments, on the draft intergovernmental Agreement on military-technical cooperation. The Uruguayan side is considering a draft Agreement on visa-free travel with civil passports. The project was prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. |
