25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and Romania

| On November 9, 2017 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the souvenir sheet “25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and Romania”. Design: Marina Vitkovskaya. Printing: offset. Colour: full colour. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: frame 123/4. There are 2 stamps in the souvenir sheet. Size of the stamps: 40,3x40,3 mm. Face value of each stamp: P. Size of the souvenir sheet: 132x80 mm. While printing the souvenir sheet they used the technology of thermal stamping by metalized foil of dead golden colour. Print quantity: 15.000 souvenir sheets. The souvenir sheet was printed at the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T. Nepogodin”. On December 20, 1991 Romania recognized the independence of the Republic of Belarus, and on February 14, 1992 diplomatic relations between the two countries were established. An important direction of bilateral relations is the development of cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, which contributes to the expansion of scientific, cultural, educational, sports contacts between the representatives of Belarus and Romania. Currently joint projects are being implemented in the field of fruit growing, microbiology, bioresources, physical chemistry, food production technologies and ethnography. Promising areas for the development of bilateral cooperation are engineering, tractor manufacturing, metallurgy, petrochemicals, cosmetics, woodworking and IT technologies. The project was prepared in cooperation with the Embassy of Romania in the Republic of Belarus. The reproduction of Corneliu Baba's painting "Rest in the field" (1954) was used with the consent of the Romanian Visual Arts Copyright Collecting Society (VISARTA). Face value “P” is equal to the air-mail tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad. |
