On October 31, 2017 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the postage stamp “25th anniversary of Interstate Television and Radio Company Mir”. Design: Marina Vitkovskaya. Printing: offset. Colour: full colour. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 131/2: 13. Size of the stamp: 37x26 mm. Sheet composition: 8 (4x2) stamps & 1 coupon. Size of the sheet: 174x128 mm. While printing the stamp they used the technology of relief stamping. Print quantity: 56.000 stamps. The stamp was printed at the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T. Nepogodin”. Face value A is equal to the tariff of a letter up to 20 gram within Belarus. |

On October 9, 1992 in Bishkek the heads of 10 member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) signed an agreement on the creation of the Interstate TV and Radio Company (ITRC) Mir, designed to cover political, economic and humanitarian cooperation, to form common media space and to promote international information exchange. The headquarters of the television and radio company, which includes 11 representative offices and branches, is located in Moscow. Today Mir broadcasts in Russian in four time zones and in 23 countries around the world during 24 hours a day. The ITRC Mir includes TV channels Mir, Mir 24 and Mir HD, also Mir radio, the information and analytical portal www.mir24.tv and the multifunctional satellite system MIR-Teleport. The National Representative Office of the ITRC Mir in the Republic of Belarus aims to inform the citizens of Belarus about the events in the countries of the CIS, as well as to cover the most important events of political, socio-economic and cultural life in the Republic of Belarus. The stamp is based on the logo of the 25th anniversary of the ITRC Mir. The coupon and FDC are based on the logo of the ITRC Mir. The project was prepared in cooperation with the National Representative Office of the ITRC Mir in the Republic of Belarus. |
