A series continuation. Beginning Nos. 958, 968, 1024 and 1025. Designer: Tatyana Kuznetsova. Printing:offset. Colour: full colour. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 13: 131/2. Size of the stamp: 52x29,6 mm. Sheet composition: 6 (2x3) stamps. Size of the sheet: 130x120 mm. Print quantity: 60.000 stamps. The stamp was printed at the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T. Nepogodin”. The Brest Academic Drama Theatre was founded in 1944 as the Brest regional drama theatre named after the Lenin Komsomol of Belarus with its company made up of graduates of the Moscow City Drama College. Since 1992 it was called the Brest Drama Theatre, since 1995 — the Brest Drama and Music Theatre and since 2005 — the Brest Drama and Music Theatre named after the Lenin Komsomol. In 2005 the theatre was given the title “The Honoured Collective of the Republic of Belarus”. In 2009 the theatre was awarded the “Academic” status. From this time on its name is the State Institution «The Honoured Collective of the Republic of Belarus “Brest Academic Drama Theatre named after the Lenin Komsomol of Belarus». Since 1996 the theatre organizes the largest in Belarus International theatre festival “Belaya Vezha” which annually hosts theatre groups from more than 20 countries. The project was prepared in cooperation with the Brest Academic Drama Theatre. |
