International year of family farming

| On March 18, 2014 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the stamp “International year of family farming”. Designer: Yauheniya Biadonik. Printing: offset. Colour: full colour. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 14: 141/4. Size of the stamp: 40x28 mm. Sheet composition: 6 (3x2) stamps. Size of the sheet: 132x70 mm. Print quantity: 72.000 stamps. The stamp was printed at the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T. Nepogodin”. Letter “H” is equal to the surface tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad. The UNO declared 2014 the International Year of Family Farming to recognize the importance of family farming in reducing poverty and improving global food security. Farming in Belarus is one of the fastest growing sectors of the agrarian economics. On January 1, 2013 there were 2469 farms in Belarus (in the whole world there are more than 500 millions ones). |
