National leaders of Israel born in Belarus

On October 30, 2013 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the souvenir sheet “National leaders of Israel born in Belarus”.
Designer: Ivan Lukin. Printing: offset. Colour: 2 colours. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: frame 14: 141/4. There are 5 stamps and 1 coupon in the souvenir sheet. Size of the stamps in the souvenir sheet: 30x28 mm. Size of the souvenir sheet: 105x75 mm. While printing the souvenir sheet they used the technology of MetalFX and thermal stamping by metalized foil of silver colour. Print quantity: 15.000 souvenir sheets.
The souvenir sheet was printed at the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T.  Nepogodin”.

Yitzhak Shamir (born 1915, town Ruzhany, Belarus — died 2012) was a statesman and politician, the seventh Prime Minister of the State of Israel, serving two terms: 1983-1984 and 1986-1992.
Chaim Weizmann (born 1874, village of Motal, now Belarus — died 1952) was an Israeli statesman and politician. He was also a chemist who founded the Institute of Science named after his name. Weizmann was the first President of the State of Israel (1949-1952). He was the President of the Zionist Organization in 1920-1931 and 1935-1946.
Shimon Peres (born 1923, village of Vishnyeva, now Belarus) is the ninth and current President of the State of Israel from 2007. He is the Nobel Peace Prize laureate (1994).
Shneur Zalman Shazar (born 1889, town Mir, Belarus — died 1974) was an Israeli statesman, politician, scientist and writer. He was the President of the State of Israel in 1963-1973.
Menachem Begin (born 1913, town Brest, Belarus — died 1992) was a statesman and politician, the sixth Prime Minister of the State of Israel (1977-1983). He is the Nobel Peace Prize laureate (1978).

Special postmark and FDC designed by I. Lukin.
Special cancellation on FDC will be carried out at the post office No.10 of Brest on the souvenir sheet issuing day.
