Chronicles of Victory. Khatyn

On March 22, 2013 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the stamp “Chronicles of Victory. Khatyn”. 
Designer: Ivan Lukin. Printing: offset. Colour: full colour. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 131/2. Size of the stamp: 29,6x52 mm. Sheet composition: 6 (3x2) stamps. Size of the sheet: 122x131 mm. Print quantity: 60.000 stamps. 
The stamp was printed at the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T.  Nepogodin”. 
Letter “M” is equal to the air-mail tariff of a postcard abroad.
 
Historical reference: Chronicles of Victory include both heroic and tragic events that led our people to the Victory in World War II. One of the tragic symbols and sorrowful pages in the history of World War II is the village of Khatyn.
On July 5, 1969 the opening ceremony of the memorial complex took place at the site of the former village of Khatyn. The Memorial embodies the idea of courage and defiance of the people who brought untold sacrifices for Victory.
