International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”

On July 8, 2011 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the stamps devoted to the International festival of arts “Slavianski bazaar in Vitebsk”.

Designer: Yevgeni Simonenko. Printing: offset. Colour: multicoloured. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 13^1/2: 13^3/4. Size of the stamps: 37x26 mm. Sheet composition: 16 (8 sets) stamps. Size of the sheet: 168x126 mm. Print quantity: 88.000 stamps each.

 

Face value A is equal to the tariff of a letter up to 20 gram within Belarus.

Face value H is equal to the surface tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad.

Historical reference: The 20^th International festival of arts “Slavianski bazaar in Vitebsk” is going to be held from 8 to 14 July 2011. One of the aims of the festival is to unite creative forces of countries with similar culture.

For the first time at the festival the Day of Belarus will be held as an exhibition of the Republic’s achievements in different fields: science, engineering, production and culture. As usually during the 20 years the main event of the festival will be the International contest of young song performers. In all it is planned to organize more than 70 different events during the festivities.

 

Colour of the postmark — black.

A special cancellation on FDC will be carried out at the post office No.15 of Vitebsk on the stamps issuing day.
