| On May 12, 2011 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the stamp “30 years of AIDS prevention”. The stamp design includes the logo of UNAIDS (Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS). Designer: Artiom Rybchinski. Printing: offset. Colour: full colour. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 133/4: 131/2. Size of the stamp: 26x37 mm. Sheet composition: 8 stamps & 1 coupon. Size of the sheet: 102x132 mm. Print quantity: 56.000 stamps. Letter “H” is equal to the surface tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad. |

 | Historical reference: On June 1981 American scientists informed about the first clinical case of the decease that later was called the acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). In 1983 they found out the cause of the decease — human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). 30 years later the epidemic of AIDS has spread all over the world. More than 60 million people were infected with HIV. As on March 1, 2011 in the Republic of Belarus they recorded 11929 HIV cases, among them children — 194 cases. |
