On November 20, 2010 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the stamp “Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Minsk”.
Designer: Yelena Medved. Printing: offset. Colour: full colour. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 131/2: 133/4. Size of the stamp: 37x26 mm. Sheet composition: 10 stamps & 2 coupons. Size of the sheet: 187x117 mm. Print quantity of the stamp: 40.000.
There are elements of protection on the stamp.
Historical reference: November 15, 2010 is the opening day of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Minsk. Its final will be held on November 20, 2010 in MCSC “Minsk-Arena”. Children aged between 10 and 15 from 14 countries will participate in the contest. This year Belarus is represented by 13 years old Daniil Kozlov who will sing the song “Musyki svet” (Light of music). The first Junior Eurovision song contest was held in 2003 in Copenhagen (Denmark). Belarusians were the winners of the contest twice: Ksenia Sitnik in 2005 and Alexey Zhigalkovich in 2007.
