On November 30, 2009 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue 2 stamps: “Football manege in Minsk” and “MCSC “Minsk-Arena” from the series “Modern sports constructions”.
Designers: Yevgeni Simonenko & Ivan Lukin. Printing: offset. Colour: multicoloured. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 131/2. Size of the stamps: 52x29,6 mm. Sheet composition: 4 stamps (2 sets) & 2 coupons. Size of the sheet: 170x72 mm. Print quantity: 60.000 stamps each.
There are elements of protection on the stamps.
Historical reference. On December 2002 Football covered manege for 5000 spectators was built in Pobediteley Avenue in Minsk. Its area is 1200 sq. m., the height is 26 metres. The main activity of the manege staff is the organization and conducting of football tournaments of men, women and youth teams of Belarus and other countries.
Multi-functional culture and sports complex “Minsk-Arena” for 15000 spectators is the newest and the most prestige sports complex in Belarus. It is being constructed in Pobediteley Avenue in Minsk for conducting international sports competitions, for sportsmen training, for people to go in for physical culture and sports, for cultural activities and tourism.
