100 years of Signal Troops of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus

On October 15, 2019 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the stamp “100 years of Signal Troops of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus”.
 
Design: Tatyana Kuznetsova. Print process: offset. Colour: multicoloured. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforations: comb 131/2: 13. Stamp size: 52x29,6 mm. Sheet composition: 6 (2x3) stamps & 6 coupons. Sheet size: 192x112 mm. Print quantity: 36.000 stamps.
 
Printer: Republican Unitary Enterprise “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T.  Nepogodin”.
 
Face value A is equal to the tariff of a letter up to 20 gram within Belarus.

Elements of protection
On October 20, 1919 by its Order No.1736/362 the Revolutionary Military Council of the Republic formed a communications department of the Red Army, communications departments of the fronts and armies, as well as communications departments of divisions and brigades.
 
Created during the years of civil war, the signal troops are actively developing and improving by applying new technologies in transmission of information and in creation of modern and promising means and complexes of communications in conjunction with enterprises of the country.

Performing real practical tasks in peacetime, the signal troops of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus are in constant readiness to carry out their mission.
 
The stamp and special postmark are based on the emblem of Signal Troops of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.

The project was prepared in cooperation with the Communications Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
 
 
Colour of the postmark — black.
 
Special postmark and FDC designed by T.Kuznetsova.
A special cancellation on FDC will be carried out at the post office No.1 of Minsk (shop “Philately”,16 Moskovskaya street) on the stamp issuing day.
