Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Kyrgyz Republic were established on January 21, 1993. Regular exchanges of high-level visits are carried out. Meetings are held between presidents, prime ministers, heads of foreign affairs agencies of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, including meetings within the framework of CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization), EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). On May 24, 2000, the Intergovernmental Belarusian-Kyrgyz Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was established. In recent years, cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere has been actively developing. The project was prepared in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Kyrgyz Republic. |
