The XII Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang were held from 9 to 18 March 2018.15 Belarusian sportsmen participated in two sports — biathlon and ski races. They have won 12 medals: 4 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze. Sviatlana Sakhanenka (guide Raman Yashchanka) is a three-time Paralympic champion (cross country skiing) and a bronze medalist (biathlon). Yury Holub (guide Dzmitry Budzilovich) is a Paralympic champion (biathlon), a two silver medalist (biathlon, cross country skiing) and bronze medalist (cross country skiing). Dzmitry Loban is a two-time silver medalist (biathlon, cross country skiing). Lidziya Hrafeyeva is a double bronze medalist (biathlon). The souvenir sheet was printed with the emblem of the National Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the emblem is also shown on the First Day Cover. The project was prepared in cooperation with the National Paralympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus. |
