| On November 30, 2016 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the souvenir sheet “Medal winners of the Games of the XXXI Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro”. Design: Yelena Medved. Printing: offset. Colour: multicoloured. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation frame: stamps Nos.1164, 1165 — 131/2: 13, stamp No.1166 — 13: 131/2. Size of the stamps in the souvenir sheet: Nos.1164,1165 — 37x26 mm, No.1166 — 26x37 mm. Size of the souvenir sheet: 107x77 mm. Print quantity: 15.000 souvenir sheets. The souvenir sheet was printed at the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House named after A. T. Nepogodin”. Face value N is equal to the surface tariff of a postcard abroad. Face value H is equal to the surface tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad. Face value P is equal to the air-mail tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad. |

| The Games of the XXXI Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro (Federative Republic of Brazil) were held from 5 to 21 August 2016. More than 11000 athletes from 208 countries took part in the Olympic Games, which were held for the first time in South America. The Games featured 38 Olympic sports. 306 sets of medals were awarded during the Games. 123 Belarusian sportsmen took part in the Olympiad in 23 sports. The gold medal was won by Uladzislau Hancharou (gymnastics, trampoline). The silver winners were Darya Naumava (weightlifting, — 75kg), Vadzim Straltsou (weightlifting, — 105kg), Mayia Mamashuk (freestyle wrestling, — 63kg), Ivan Tsikhan (athletics, hammer throw). The bronze medals were received by Javid Hamzatau (wrestling Greco-Roman, — 85kg), Aliaksandra Herasimenia (swimming, 50m freestyle), Marharyta Makhneva, Nadzeya Liapeshka, Volha Khudzenka and Maryna Litvinchuk (women's kayak, four, 500m), Ibrahim Saidau (freestyle wrestling, — 125kg). The souvenir sheet was printed with the logo of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus. The FDC depicts the logo of the Games of the XXXI Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro. The project was prepared in cooperation with the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus. |
