Municipal Arms of Belarus Towns. Molodechno

On September 30, 2011 the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus will issue the stamp “Municipal arms of Molodechno” from the series “Municipal arms of Belarus towns”.

A series continuation. Beginning Nos. 403-404, 445, 495-496, 529-530, 593-595, 633-634, 675-676, 756-758, 794, 795, 850, 852, 860.

Designer: Yauheniya Biadonik. Printing: offset. Colour: full colour. Paper: chalk-surfaced, gummed. Perforation: comb 14^1/4: 14. Size of the stamp: 28x30 mm. Sheet composition: 9 (3x3) stamps. Size of the sheet: 123x130 mm. Print quantity of the stamp: 54 000.

 

Letter “H” is equal to the surface tariff of a letter up to 20 gram abroad.

 

Historical reference: A municipal arms of Molodechno represents the image of a Spanish shield on the blue ground of which there is the virgin Mary with a golden crown in a blue and gold dress, a gold robe with red lining. The Virgin is standing on a silver cloud and holding a blue blanket with three Chevalier crosses.

Saints on official heraldic symbols of towns have long been considered to be their protectors and highly honoured by their residents.

The modern municipal arms of Molodechno is registered in the Heraldic matriculation of the Republic of Belarus on February 10, 2000 under No.39.
